Corvi for managers and business people
Last updated: 2026-10-29
Managers, founders, salespeople and consultants spend much of the day reading e-mail, reports and chat, and writing replies. With Corvi on a Mac, tap Fn on a long thread to hear what is asked of you and by when, double-tap to ask a question about it, and hold Fn to dictate the reply in the right tone. It works in Mail, Outlook, Gmail, Slack, Teams in the browser and any other app.
Where the time goes
A McKinsey report estimated that knowledge workers spent about 28% of the working week on e-mail (McKinsey Global Institute, 2012). Add reports, decks, Slack threads and contracts, and much of a manager's day is reading other people's text and typing answers. Corvi takes both halves to voice.
Reading
- E-mail threads: the request and the deadline first. See listen to your e-mails.
- Reports and board documents: hear the conclusion and the numbers that matter; ask "What are the risks they flag?".
- Contracts and proposals: select one clause and hear it in plain words. For decisions, read the original; a summary is not legal advice.
- Slack threads you joined late: what was decided and what's expected of you.
Writing
- Replies: hold Fn and say what you'd say in person. Corvi writes more formally in Mail than in chat.
- Voice snippets: your availability, your standard pricing reply, your sign-off; say the name and the full text appears.
- Personal dictionary: client names, product names and abbreviations, spelled right every time.
A day with Corvi
- 8:30, inbox: tap Fn on each long thread; answer, defer or archive in under a minute each.
- 10:00, before a meeting: select the agenda and the pre-read, tap Fn, ask "What decision do they need from me?".
- 13:00, between calls: dictate three follow-up e-mails while the details are fresh.
- 17:30, end of day: tap Fn on the Slack channels you missed and hear what was decided.
Stop typing. Stop reading. Talk and listen.
Corvi is free during early access. Setup takes a minute; if you don't like it, drag it to the Trash.
